The day after the Old West Trails 30k, I pushed myself to get up early again for a back-to-back weekend. I knew I’d be tired but I had to do it as it was a crucial weekend for back-to-back long runs.
I got to run with Holly and Fernie who will also run Leona. We ran 10 miles at Sullivan Ridge.
It was foggy when we began!
The view at the top was unreal.
I hadn’t been there in a while and felt a bit apprehensive on the Bobsled going down. It was a reminder that I need to keep running it so I can improve.
I was very happy to get in a solid weekend of running with double digit back-to-back long runs. I had another double digit back-to-back long run back in January. This will really help me have a good 50k in April.
After the run, I went to get coffee and reflect on the weekend. It was amazing with a trip to the Anza Borrego desert for the Old West Trails 30k and then another 10 miler. I finished the week with 37 miles. I felt strong this week and hope that this hard work pays off at Leona.
