This week was a build up week for me. I was hoping for more miles but sometimes work gets in the way.
Monday, October 10, 2016 – rest day
I had the day off from school and really rested. I was tired from the lack of sleep and super early mornings for the JetBlue Long Beach weekend. I made myself some pumpkin spice latte and added Vital Proteins Collagen Peptides that helps support strong bones and reduce joint pain.
Tuesday, October 11, 2016 – Running Club with students
I ran 1.40 miles with the kids and it felt great!
I wore my new Altra Paradigm 2.0 road shoes and they felt really good!
Wednesday, October 12, 2016 – AREC Wednesday night run
Before my run, I worked on my core and did some planks!
I ran 3 miles and was treated to this beautiful marina view!
Thursday, October 13, 2016 – rest
I was supposed to run but I was so drained from work and so tired. I decided I needed the rest more.
Friday, October 14, 2016 – rest
Saturday, October 15, 2016 – long run
I ran 28 miles! We got to run at the Irvine Open Space Preserve, on trails that aren’t usually open except once a month. It was beautiful!
Sunday, October 16, 2016 – rest
I was going to run or do a recovery hike but I slept in and rested. I was pretty sore and tired.
I drank coffee out of my new Garrett Popcorn mug that my friend gave me (I love it, Kathy!!! xo), watched “Luke Cage”, and worked on my new Happy Planner! It felt good to rest and catch up on things.
I got in a total of 32.42 miles. I hope to have a big week next week!
All week I tried to encourage people to support me in my Team Muscle Makers Sponsor a Mile fundraiser! I have $165 to go!!! You can win awesome prizes in the raffle! Read more about it and sponsor me here!
