It has been raining…a lot. We never get rain in SoCal and we’ve had more rain than we’ve ever had in many years. The rain is great for our drought but it’s not good for our trails. I had to give the trails a break today and I needed a break from the mud. And my coach told me to do a road run which is good since the LA Marathon is in 4 weeks!
I was glad some friends wanted to run, too!
The bike path was covered in sand from the storm! It was like we were on the trail anyway! 🙂
If I can’t run on the trails, the beach is the next best thing!
I’m not used to long runs on the road so it was a bit tough for me. I was glad that Flor was running long, too. I got in 14.4 miles and Flor got in 15. I was hurtin’ at the end but pushed through. The road hurts!!!
After the run, I was hurtin’! I know I said that already but the road hurts me! I stretched, changed into dry clothes and stretched some more. I rehydrated with EssencepH10 alkaline water. It tastes really good and helps detoxify and improve your pH Balance. The added hibiscus provides antioxidants! After this, I had to stop for coffee, of course! 🙂
