Trailer Canyon Thursdays is my new favorite run and I look forward to meeting with friends to run on this trail every week!
I was pretty tired after three days at 5th grade camp with 123 kids but I didn’t want to miss the run and I’m trying to keep to the training schedule. This time, we ran to The Hub! It was 4.5 miles from the Trailer Canyon trailhead on my Garmin. We ran from Trailer Canyon to Temescal Ridge to The Hub.
There’s a restroom there!
There were several mountain bikers who stopped to enjoy the view.
I read about the history of the rocks in the area and learned about Cathedral Rocks!
The view is magnificent!
We headed back after soaking it all in. We got a bit of a late start and didn’t want to be out when it was dark. There are coyotes in the area. We’ve seen its feces and I’ve seen coyotes there before last summer. When we were done running, a hiker asked if we had already finished our run. She was about to start the hike with her dog when she saw coyotes. Yikes!
We had a beautiful sunset on the descent. I didn’t push the pace as much on this run as I was pretty tired but I’m glad I got in 9 miles. I’m excited to be in this routine of running at this beautiful place and getting in a nice long run during the week. Yeah!
See you next week, Trailer Canyon!
