Disclaimer: I was given the opportunity to help promote PRracer‘s kickstarter campaign for The Convertible HDL as a #sweatpink ambassador with FitApproach. As always, all opinions are my own!
PRracer is a company based out of Portland, Oregon. Founded by avid runner, Mike Haedrich, the company proudly offers products to recognize running achievements–from the 5k to the marathon. Mike has awesome RUN. t-shirts, sweatshirts and hats that pay tribute to the state where you run. He has decals to commemorate your favorite racing distance and PR!
PRracer’s newest endeavor is The Convertible HDL. The Convertible HDL is an innovative head piece that can convert from a headband to a skull cap or beanie. It warmer weather, it can wick away sweat as a headband and in cooler weather, you can wear it as a skull cap to keep you warm. What’s super cool is that it is also designed to support smart wearable devices. It has a headlamp and a camera in it! And it only weighs 3 ounces!
What’s in the name? Check out details from the Kickstarter campaign:
- Convertible: This is the lightweight, moisture wicking, fashionable headband that converts to a skull cap. Perfect for any climate, it is the Convertible that is the base of our new technology.
- HD: The camera allows you to capture your run in FHD (1920×1280) or HD (1280×720) format with still photo capability. In addition to video, you can take photos using single shot, burst mode, or time-lapse mode. In addition, the camera carries a GPS, altimeter, and accelerometer to capture all the vital statistics from your run.
- L: The headlamp shines at more than 400 lumens, ensuring your path is clearly lit, during even the darkest runs. This high-powered light also makes it possible to catch clean video during dawn, dusk and nighttime runs – something no wearable camera offers.
Exciting, right? I’m super excited about running gear that’s a 4-in-1! I always have a headband, beanie and lights in my running bag. I carry it all, just in case! When I run in the dark now, I always find that the light is obstructed by my hat. The Convertible HDL solves this problem, too!
The Convertible HDL would have the headband, skull cap, headlamp and camera–you know how much I love to take photos! I love that it can shoot video, take still shots and is voice activated. I used to run with a GoPro but found that I had to keep switching between modes and I would check the shots on my phone with the app. It was cumbersome and hard to manage. I want to run freely and be able to capture special moments and beautiful views easily. The Convertible HDL sounds amazing!
Help support this new running innovation and you can have your very own Convertible HDL in the fall, when it’s released! There are three levels of pledges for the Convertible HDL: $149 (limited), $179 (limited), $199. Support now to get your own Convertible HDL and save! It will retail for $299 in the fall. Any amount you can contribute would be greatly appreciated to get this awesome product to runners everywhere!
Technology + running gear = #RunSmart with PRracer’s Convertible HDL!
