This year, I knew I had to hit the trails. I invited my Dirt Divas and Dudes to join. Some had to work and some didn’t get up in time but I’m happy a few were able to join me!
I planned a 6ish miler at Trailer Canyon, one of my favorite trails. Our coach wanted us to run 6 miles so this was perfect.
The views at Trailer Canon are amazing. Trailer Canyon connects to other trails like Temescal and Will Rogers. It eventually connects to The Hub.
We climbed to the overlook that’s a hairpin turn off the fireroad at 2.88 miles. The overlook turnaround is 3.2 miles.
Everyone loved the view, the rustic steps and wondered what had been here before.
We had a SunRype snack at the overlook and headed back. It was a nice, fast descend for a total of 6.2 miles with 1,099 feet of climbing! It was the perfect way to work off Thanksgiving calories.
I cleaned up with Action Wipes, changed and we headed to have coffee together. Run + Coffee = Happiness.
I’m so grateful for trail running, my trail sisters and brothers and the opportunity to be outside!
