Christmas Day run at the beach! What could be better than this?
I ran the Happy Holidays 5k with A Better World Running on Christmas Day in Santa Monica. I volunteered at bib pick-up, as usual! So fun! My crazy runner friends, Dee Dee and Cortney were doing the half! I love them and wish I could run as many halves as they do! I challenged Dee Dee to triple digit races next year! Haha. She ran 82 races–what a slacker! 😉
There was a nice turn-out on Christmas morning!
It was cold but felt lovely for a run! I ran a pretty good pace, compared to the last few 5ks I’ve run. I didn’t feel so weighed down considering all I had eaten on Christmas Eve!
It was good to get in some road miles, too. I love the trails so much now but need to get in road miles and the pounding from the road, too.
It was my 89th lifetime 5k on a crisp, beautiful Christmas morning at the beach! I’m a happy girl and felt so lucky to run another race!
